are you biotches ready??
VH1 and Ego Trip are back together for yet another brilliant television experience: Miss Rap Supreme
This is like a dream come true for me. The show premieres on April 14th at 10pm but you can go to watch the first episode early at VH1.com. BUT you’ll have to wait to Monday to see who’s going home. Personally, Khia has got to go. I MEAN COME ON! Why is she even on the show in the first place? I’ve already picked 2 special delicate flowers I am going to support: Chiba and Byata. I’m sure the girls will be nothing but classy sophisticated ladies and this will be some of the finest TV we’ve seen in a while. Anything with MC Serch has my undivided attention.
if you want to wait for it to air, you can check out the preview below.
I just watched Sanjaya on American Idol completely murdering No Doubt’s Bathwater and the pictures say it all. Is that hair? Is that REAL actual hair? What is this tom foolery? I must be stopped.
“If the KKK was smart enough they would of created gangster rap because it is such a caricature of black masculinity and young people of color are being represented with this idea that somehow these people represent us and they are cool and they will stand in for us against the white power structure
but in actuality they are completely subservient to the white power structure. It’s really an ironic sad reality.”
Quote overheard today in the movie Hip Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes
The best thing to come out of SNL since “My Dick in a Box”
This shit is funny!

Readers, friends … please forgive me for what I’m about to say .. but I love me some Elliott Yamin. I mean come on “Sing it like Yamin it!”
This dude was my favorite Idol contestant of last season. What can I say? I love the underdog. I love a nerd. I just can’t help it.
So some of that Hollywood magic was performed and now homeboy looks like this!:

I have not heard any of the songs off this album but I’m sure they are soulful life changing tracks that will land on your top 25 played real soon…

This dude is amazing. He needs his own show. Not really but maybe a 30 minute made for tv after school special!? “Hollywood is just New Jersey with celebrities!” I mean come on .. that phrase alone deserves some kind of cookie.
If you don’t know who Ian Bernardo is then get with it!

If you have ever looked at the work of Matthew Barney and walked away scratching your head you may be missing some of today’s most profound art. Although he may be the darling of the art world, much of the public will never come to understand exactly what Matthew Barney is trying to say. Alison Chernick’s movie Matthew Barney: No Restraint could be the key to making sense of the mind and method of this incredible artist. The documentary covers the production of Drawing Restraint 9, Barney’s latest film as well as the progression of his art over the years. Chernick shows us a rarely seen side of Barney, but still much is left to be explained. I doubt anyone could truly break the surface of his larger than life character, but we do catch small glimpses of man simply making sense of the world around him.
