I was reading Tokyobunnie and came across her post about the new Dunny Series 5 that will be released from Kid Robot this fall. Looked at Vinylpulse to get a little more info but the release date for this series hasn’t been announced yet. If anyone has info to share that would be great!
The second Dunny from the left is OBVIOUSLY Junko Mizuno. Great to see her working with Kid Robot again. Her Dunny looks amazing and I can’t wait to pick one up.
Here are some photos of Tara McPherson and her 48″ custom Dunny during a live painting session at the KR Pirate Store in NYC a few days ago. All I have to say is I wish I had gone and does anyone know if kid robot actually sells the 48″ Dunny to the public? Also, how amazing does Tara look?

The Fafi for M.A.C. Collection has already hit stores and I’m so thrilled to see that M.A.C has created a small line of toys to go along with the collection. We all know that vinyl art toys have been a huge part of Fafi’s artistic career and its great to see her continuing this theme throughout her collaborations. While I was working for LeSportsac I saw the prototype for the LeSportsac x Fafi toy but it was never released due to a longggg list of reasons. But I love her toys and these are a steal at $9 USD each. Fafi toy collectors, you should really get these now before they sell out. I can completely see these being triple the price on Ebay in a couple of months. Visit the Fafi x M.A.C. website and click on “Collection” to order these super cute toys and of course the great makeup! I think I’m gonna head out tomorrow and pick some stuff up before it’s all gone!

This is a new Fendi window display at Bloomingdale’s 59th St featuring Fendi Bearbricks. Thought it was pretty cute!
This week has been bad for me … I have been trying to deal with the events in my life in positive way. I can’t help but think that these events are a sign to start doing the things that I want to do with my life and stop trying to please other people.
But despite all the bad things that I am going through today was a truly uplifting day for me. I met one of my favorite artists ever, a true inspiration to everything I myself create: Junko Mizuno
It was awesome finally meeting her and telling her how much her work means to me. Shes signed my 2 new Kidrobot/Junko dolls and some of her comics that I own.

I saw these cuties at Comic Con but didn’t get to take a picture since my battery died. BOO
They will be available from StrangeCo in May of this year. I wasn’t too crazy about the Moofia toys that Simone recently put out but I think these are pretty hot.

i have been working on this for a few weeks and its still not completely done but since i haven’t updated in a while .. i thought i’d share my progress with you on my very first custom which just so happens to be a munny. I have no name for her yet and there are some changes i’d like to make to face, to clean up the lines and hide brush strokes but the body is done. it was a lot harder than i thought it would be, painting on vinyl is so completely different from any other material .. in my opinion.
i sanded the surface, primed it with acrylic gesso and sanded again. then painted it with acrylics. the dress is made out of strips of black lace that i glued to the body over a dress design that is actually painted on. the flowers are just card stock that i painted and glued together. the face is a little sloppy, i would like it to look more like vector shapes/lines when its done. i don’t know how well i can achieve that look, but i will try! also if anyone has thoughts on the mouth (whether i should add one or keep it blank as it is) let me know.
does anyone do customs? tips or pictures of your work are very welcome (and needed) here …

Kidrobot new Gorillaz line drops on October 16th.
I already have a Noodle, I love her and this one will definitely be added to my collection. So dope. And two special colorways: white and two-tone drop on November 2nd at a slightly higher price point.
