Junko Mizuno teamed up with French label Judith Lacroix to release a small edition of tshirts featuring Junko’s characters. The tshirts have some of her most popular designs reworked with new colors, glitter!! and french phrases. The first tshirt on the top is amazing. I absolutely love the red glitter and the teal blue combination. I really want to buy it except for the fact that the tshirts are priced at 49 euros and that exchanges to a little over $75 USD!!! I love Junko and have spent A LOT of money hunting down her toys on ebay, buying out of print manga and all of the typical crazy super fandom, but $75 for a tshirt is too much for me atleast now. But my birthay is around the corner. Anyone anyone?
Visit Judith Lacroix for more info and purchase the tshirts.

Gwen Stefani to release new Harajuku Lovers Fragrance Line
![]() ![]() |
“Gwen Stefani will introduce her new Harajuku Lovers fragrance collection this fall. For the project, Stefani created dolls based on herself and her four real-life backup singers, Love, Angel, Music and Baby — and turned them into scent bottles.
The scents will each be available in two sizes: $45 for 30 ml. and $25 for 10 ml. A coffret, which includes solid perfume versions of all five will retail for $60.
In the U.S., the Harajuku Lovers collection will be sold in some 2,200 department and specialty store doors, including Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s and Sephora. The lineup will also be sold in 17 international markets, including Japan, the U.K., France, Australia, Germany and China. Worldwide, the scents will be in about 10,000 doors.”
I’ve always had a problem with this whole Harajuku Lovers thing. I mean, Gwen Stefani could not possibly begin to understand the incredibly vast and mind boggling spectrum of different styles/fashion groups that the Japanese youth take part of, let alone sum it all up in such a literal one dimensional way with your “cutesy” fashion line. I think that the people who buy Harajuku Lovers just want a piece of Gwen .. even if it is a watered down representation of just a small piece of what Harajuku/Japanese fashion actually is.
That being said .. I think the bottles are cute. I would buy one because of that fact alone. Does that make me a hypocrite? I mean I do love Hello Kitty. I love unicorns and rainbows and stupid glittery cell phone charms. I collect toys and pointless Japanese Kawaii crap. I have a manga collection and a Kuromi showercap. But I have never stopped and said “Wow, that’s Harajuku Lovers bag is so cute” ….
OK Gwen fans please do not send me hate mail. I love Gwen, I really do, but I think she may be playing herself here. That’s all.

Obey Blair Jacket
Obey Blair Jacket - $72 available at Karmaloop
I saw a post the other day on High Snobette about the top selling tshirts for women at Karmaloop.com. A very cute tank by Obey caught my eye (pictured below) so I decided to check out the site and browse around. I found this super sexy 100% cotton black motorcycle jacket by Obey. It’s a coated cotton which means it has a sort of nylon like feel and a semi-shiny look. I really want it! I am afraid however that it will be too small, I have tried on Obey stuff before and I’m 5′10″ so for some reason everything like hit me at my bellybutton. Now this is fine, if you are going for that sort of look BUT I’m definitely NOT. I wish I could try this on first. What to do?
Well anyways I found some other great stuff. I really like their Women’s line right now, it’s the best I’ve seen in a while. I want that jacket and the tank top below. This month has been bad, lots and lots of cute stuff to buy and not so much money in my hands to give away. Help me.

Comme des Garcons to Design Line For H&M
“The famously avant-garde Japanese label, spearheaded by design powerhouse Rei Kawakubo, will provide a range of both men’s and womenswear, as well as childrenswear, accessories and a new unisex fragrance for the retailer. In honour of its Japanese roots, the collaborative line will launch exclusively at H&M in Tokyo in November before being rolled out worldwide a few days later.”
WOW. Now THIS is something to be excited about. I really never got into the H&M guest designer lines except for Victor & Rolf, but when it launched I went into the store, got trampled and scratched and didn’t even end up buying what I wanted all within 5 minutes. So I am a little apprehensive about even attempting to get some of this stuff because I have been traumatized. I guess I just have to wait and see the line before I can commit to getting beat down for it again.

True Obsessions: Spring 08 Nails
I confess, I am a nailpolish addict.
I have ALOT of it and I am always looking for new shades to try. Although back in my tween days, I used only black or red and on top of that, I would never remove it… just letting it chip away and apply a new coat. (tisk tisk) I remember back then wearing black nailpolish was a big no-no. People would just look at you weird, and then out of nowhere all these celebrities started wearing it and then it became OK because Allure and Vogue said so. What’s up with that? But anyhoo, nowadays I like to wear colors that are a contrast but also complimentary (if that makes any sense) to what I’m wearing. So here is my long wordy post on some shades I have tried and what you may want to try yourself:
Yellow, White, Gray, Navy Blue, Fuschia & Bright Pink

More from the Boosted folks:
One of my favorite graffiti artists and fashion designers Claw Money designed an 8 piece limited edition collection for Boosted Mobile’s Product line.
The collection includes a duffle, backpack, tote, fannypack, laptop sleeve and 3 phone/pda cases. I want that duffle bag! Gotta love the Claw.

Stiloso Headphones in Pink. $52
I was poking around on Urbanoutiftters.com and while browsing through my favorite section on the site (apartment/entertain) I saw these really great headphones from Boosted.
I love the neon color combination on the Grande set, but I really love the vintage inspired style of the Stiloso, in fact I think I am going to pick a pair of the pink ones up, although there are no specs on the sound quality, they look really good for $52. But I did see these Panasonic RP-HTX7s on Turntable Lab for $49. They are practically the same except not pink, which for some reason has foolishly got me mesmerized. I have to think this over, buying headphones is a pain. A lot of times they don’t live up to your expectations and can stifle your full enjoyment of a great tune!
Both headphones come in 1 other color. Check them out for more information:
